January 20, Sunny
Today my family and I went to the park. The sun was warm and the sky was blue. I saw many children flying kites. My little sister tried to fly her kite too. She ran and ran until the kite finally rose high into the air. We laughed and took many photos. In the afternoon, we had a picnic under a big tree. I ate a sandwich and an apple. It was a peaceful and happy day. I love spending time with my family outdoors in winter.

February 5, Snowy
It snowed heavily last night. When I looked out of the window this morning, everything was white. The trees and houses were covered with snow. I put on my warm coat and boots to play outside. I made a snowman with my dad. We used carrots for the nose and stones for the eyes. My neighbor's dog came and played in the snow too. Later, I drank a cup of hot chocolate inside. It was delicious. I think a snowy day is beautiful and fun.

Today I visited my grandparents with my parents. They live in a small village. Grandmother cooked my favorite dishes. We had beef, fish and fresh vegetables. After lunch, Grandfather told me stories about his childhood. He said he used to walk to school in the snow. I listened carefully and learned a lot. In the evening, I helped Grandmother wash the dishes. She smiled and said I was a good boy. I felt warm in my heart. I promised to visit them again soon.

February 18, Windy
I did not go out today because the wind was strong. So I stayed at home and read a book. The book was about a brave rabbit who saved his friends. I read two chapters. Then I practiced my English by writing a short story. After that, I watched a cartoon with my brother. We laughed together. My mom made dumplings for dinner. I helped wrap some of them. They were tasty. Although I stayed inside all day, it was a relaxing and meaningful day. I learned that quiet days can also be wonderful.
